I'm glad you're here!

My goal is to be a resource, a support and a motivator to help you achieve whatever health related goals you desire. Throughout this site you will find several pathways to improve overall health and wellness. Education is important. Desire is important. Drive is important. I cannot give you everything you need, but I will give you everything I can. My personal mentor instills in me the desire to be eternally optimistic, always look on the bright side, and be willing to try and try (and perhaps try) again!

A bit about Jodiā€¦

I can remember realizing as a child that my daily choices would determine my health as an adult and how long I would be able to be active. Sports dominated my life through high school and are still an integral part of my daily routine. My children know, mommy only stays healthy and happy if she stays active.
My professional endeavor with massage started in 2003. I had taken classes and training programs in high school for Athletic Training and Physical Therapy, but still felt something was missing. My traditional college years, I majored in Kinesology, Journalism, Speech Communication, Coaching, Dance and other various areas. None of these completely enticed me but all gave me valuable information and helped shape my desires for what I truly wanted to achieve in my work.

Eat For Your Decade!

Does it really matter what you eat?
Does your age really play a role in what foods are better for you?

YES!  Actually they do!
Your needs vary somewhat as you pass through the different decades of your life:

20s - Calcium!!  Eat your dairy and leafy greens
30s - Antioxidants!!  Look for those brightly-colored fruits and veggies
40s - Fiber and Omega-3s!!  Plants, legumes, whole grains and fish
50s - More Nutrients...Less Calories!!  Stick to your fruits and veggies... lean protein and low-fat dairy

Treat your body like it belongs to someone you love... fuel it well!
