Detox for Wellbeing!

This is not about food!  Sure, your gut and body could benefit from different ways of 'purging' the 'bad'...but we mean lifestyle detox!


Resetting your inner being...

1. Digital Detox - No screens, no phone, no TV... take a weekend, a week, a day... whatever you can manage; set an out of office and take time away from the digital world!
2. Social Media Detox - This means no checking in!  Connect with the real people in your life... delete the app off your phone for good measure.  One day, One week, One month... you decide!
3. Complaining Detox - Instead of looking at problems look for solutions; change your way of speaking!  
4. Clutter Detox - Go one room at a time.  Ask yourself if the items bring you joy or not... if the answer is no, get rid of it!
5. Negativity Detox - Notice everything around you, make a list if it is a joy or brings you down, then how can you reduce the negative volume in your life.  Whether it be your actions or your thoughts... change your attitude!

Recipe of the week: September 27th

Creamy Cauliflower Dip

Serves: 4

Prep time: 10 minutes

Cook time: None

Ingredients:

  • 1 head cauliflower, steamed

  • 2 tbsp tahini

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 clove garlic

  • juice from 1 lemon

  • dash of sea salt and black pepper

  • pinch of cumin, paprika, garlic powder, turmeric, and onion powder

Instructions:

  1. Throw all of the ingredients into a food processor and blend until smooth.

  2. Taste and add more seasoning as you see fit.

  3. Serve with sliced veggies, olives and homemade almond flour crackers or even as a dip for finger foods
